30th Annual Joint Special Operations 10K Run / 5K Walk
November 14, 2026 • 8:00 AM • Historic Fort Bragg
Run Where Few Get the Opportunity to Run

Join us for the 30th Annual Joint Special Operations 10K Run / 5K Walk, a one-of-a-kind off-road race held on the scenic tank trails and fire breaks of Historic Fort Bragg.

This is not your typical road race. The JSO 10K takes participants through a challenging all-off-road course featuring dirt, mud, gravel, sand, and rugged trail terrain. Whether you're an experienced trail runner, a casual runner, or simply looking for a unique way to spend the morning with friends and family, the JSO 10K/5K offers an experience you won't find anywhere else in the area.

The race is open to all ages and abilities, with a participant limit of 800 registered participants. While many runners and walkers come from Fort Bragg and the surrounding Fayetteville community, participants also travel from neighboring states to take part in this special event.

The JSO 10K is also part of the Triangle Race Series.

Salute Our Military and Their Families

The Joint Special Operations 10K Run / 5K Walk is proudly sponsored by the Special Operations Communicators Association (SOCA).

The event provides an opportunity for the community to come together, enjoy a challenging race, and show our appreciation for the military members, Special Operations community, veterans, and their families who make so much possible.

Please join us on November 14, 2026, and help us celebrate 30 years of the JSO 10K!

The Course

The JSO 10K is an all-off-road trail race utilizing the tank trails and fire breaks of Historic Fort Bragg.

Expect a challenging mix of:

Dirt • Sand • Gravel • Mud • Trails • Uneven Terrain

This is a true trail race, so come prepared for changing conditions. Depending on weather, portions of the course may be muddy or particularly challenging.

Strollers

Off-road jogging strollers are permitted on the course.

Please note that this is a trail course with sand, gravel, and potentially muddy conditions. A standard sidewalk stroller is not suitable for this course.

Pets

Although we love our four-legged friends, no pets are permitted at the event. MWR established this requirement, so please leave your pets at home.

Important Fort Bragg Event Information

SOCA pays MWR for use of the event pavilion. Because of Fort Bragg/MWR regulations, outside organizations may not conduct fundraising, set up tents, or advertise at the event.

We appreciate everyone's understanding and cooperation.

Appropriate attire is required. Please remember that the JSO 10K is a family-friendly event.
